HOUSE OF REFUGE

A woman who finds herself in an unplanned pregnancy needs to know that the baby she is carrying is a blessing from God and that He has knitted the child in her womb! We do not support or encourage a woman to have an abortion because the child she carries is made in the image of God and intrinsically valuable and loved by Him.

Sometimes it is difficult for a woman to grasp this truth because she may be blinded by adverse situations.  Our volunteers are here to walk beside and encourage this mother as she continues her pregnancy journey. We want her to know that she is loved and we will do all we can to help her during and after the birth of her child. We will not shame or abandon her. We will not allow the family of God to harm her with words or actions contrary to the love of God as revealed in His Word.  Our loving volunteers are eager to mentor her and to meet her emotional, physical and spiritual needs.

If a woman has ever had an abortion, we want her to know that abortion is not an unforgivable sin! If she has never gone through a post-abortion Bible study, we will connect her with one so she can walk in complete healing and freedom.  Also, if a man is going through the trauma of dealing with an abortion, we will support and provide a means for his healing.
